We fished both far out (250 meters) and close by. Given the cold temperatures, we caught most of our fish in the deeper areas. There isn’t much depth variation, but even 30 cm made a difference. There is a thin layer of soft bottom, so adjust your rig accordingly. Even a single beep on the alarm could mean a fish was hooked. Since the lake isn’t very deep, the fish tend to move left or right rather than pulling line off the spool.

4 takes and 4 carp 45lb, 42lb and two of about 25lb. I was on swim 1 and eventually found the fish with the fish finder they were in the deep parts against the dam at night. During the day they were nowhere to be found within normal distances to fish. The bottom is quite flat without features. There are also no lilies on the shallows yet.
